Gumbo Limbo is a lovely villa and it's spotlessly clean and well equipped. We loved eating our breakfast on the verandah with its views of PM Beach and Admiralty Bay and it was great to have the day bed outside to laze upon. It can get hot in the afternoons but the fans and AC work very well and we were not troubled by mozzies at all. At night we slept with the doors open and all we could hear was the surf below. Bequia is hilly and the walk back up from PM Beach is very steep.
We were concerned that there would be noise from Jack's Bar directly below but it wasn't particularly noisy and they did come up and warn us when there was going to be live music and invited us along. We recommend joining in as it's right on your doorstep and the food and company were very enjoyable; or you could go for 'early doors' drinks and catch some spectacular sunsets. It's easy to get a water taxi from their dock too. (From SM&RH, London, UK)
